History

1985.

The founders of NEXON saw an opportunity to digitalize payroll calculation, at the time when personal computing first appeared in Hungary. This was when our first payroll software was developed on an IBM XT machine. The BERENC program was able to calculate the wages of several thousand employees within a few minutes, so it soon became very popular. It was taken into use by large organizations such as: Agroker, Röltex, Vasért, Central Statistic Institute, Hungarian Scientific Academy, the Tax Office.

1989.

NEXON Ltd. was founded. In 1992 the second generation of our software was completed. It was a unique product within the Hungarian market, providing an integrated solution for payroll, social security (táppénz) and labour tasks. By the end of 1992 the software was already in use at 230 customers and our company was embarking on a period of rapid growth.

During the following years the previous labour and HR registration software components evolved to become a state-of-the-art HRM system , while the manual working hours registration component became an integrated access control, time and attendance system.

1996.

Our payroll outsourcing service was started and 4 new regional offices were opened. During 2004 our products were renewed. In addition to the nexONHR and nexONTIME applications, the new nexONBÉR was announced, which integrated our 20-years-long experience. At this point, NEXON could already provide a comprehensive solution for the whole working-life of an employee.

2012.

The development of our 4th generation system was started. Using the latest technology, it provides both mobility and a completely new user experience.
Our adult education activity was strengthened by the acquisition of Milton Ltd., a major player within the Hungarian education market.

2014.

Our company celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2014. We can proudly state that our activities have defined a standard of excellence within the HRM systems’ market, and we have played a significant role in establishing that human-informatics is accepted and widely available in Hungary. As a market leader we support the payroll and HR-activity of 3000 customers and one million employees.

NEXON is optimistic about the future. With our state-of-the –art developments, special proficiency and committed employees we will continue to be present as a leading HRM service provider in Hungary in the future.
