NEXON Conference 2015

NEXON gives you more! NEXON held its annual conference in the Várkert Bazárt on the 18th of November, at which the main topic was the connection between HR and digitalization.

Mobile devices, social media and other electronic solutions are not only shaping our social connections, but changing our thinking as well.

The aim of our conference was to show our guests an alternative viewpoint for their professional lives. During our presentations we covered the questions currently facing the HR profession, its working environment, its regulatory background and the expectations of the new generation. Szilard Ocskay, owner of NEXON, thinks that the present revolutionary changes are as significant as was the appearance of personal computers 30 years ago, when NEXON created the basis of IT based payroll and HR administration. Every tool, device and solution which is a novelty today, will be normal and in common use very soon.

Our first lecturer was Róbert Gulyás (Prime Minister's Office Deputy Secretary of State, responsible for Government Windows) who presented about this topic from the Government’s point of view. There is a parallel between the public and private sector: both are getting closer to the customer.

Zoltan Lovás (Head of Product Development and Services) and Lajos Hunyády (sales manager) from NEXON presented to us the e-solutions used in payroll and HR administration, with the help of our NEXON_PORT solution.

There are two ways of proceeding towards the paperless office: either no printing at all is involved in the administration process, or the use of paper is inevitable but the amount and the effort involved is minimized through use of electronic solutions.

Our presentation was illustrated using a „situational game” acted out by Gabor Hegedüs (Netlock) Ágoston Hortobágyi (DO-Q-MENT) and Csaba Izbéki (IBM). In addition to the technical background, the game also covered the issues of security and regulatory compliance.

Get closer to the customer!

Csilla Jakabné Kerekes - from Tesco – talked about the implementation of NEXONcafe at Tesco, and declared that the time required for cafeteria settlement is now at a record low.

dr. Katalin Dudas, labor lawyer talked about the legal implications of electronic communication and the use of IT tools in relation to HR.

A roundtable discussion, - about the connections between HR and IT - which was led by Zoltan Alfoldi, ended the professional programs. The discussion focused on the advantages and disadvantages of digitalization and discussed the gaps between generations. The participants agreed that e-solutions should be used in our everyday working lives, however, they cannot substitute for personal interaction during the recruiting process. Companies which are unattractive and fail to learn how to communicate with the new generation will face disadvantages when recruiting. The participants were Viktor Kéri (Tesco), Richard Rozman (NEXON), György Kovács (Flextronics), Gabor Hegedüs (Netlock), Csaba Izbéki (IBM).

dr. Péter Szabó, rector of János Kodolányi College (KJF) make an special announcement.  NEXON has become a University Department within the College , and the following titles have been awarded to our colleagues:

  • Ocskay Szilárd, NEXON’s executive director and owner: Honorary associate professor
  • Szücsy Márton, Head of NEXON Academy: Honorary associate professor
  • Ménesi Gizella, business analyst at NEXON: Honorary associate professor

  • Dr. Henczi Lajos PhD., Professional Leader of the NEXON Academy: Honorary college professor

Last, but not least, the winners of the National Payroll Championship 2014 were announced and the agreement for next year’s Championship was signed.

At the conference, with the help of PIXRATING, we surveyed our guests about the conference itself, about our solutions, our cloud based solutions and about the paperless office. 75% of respondents rated the Conference 5 stars, 25% of them 4 stars. 70% of our guests had a positive attitude towards cloud based data storage, and only 3,5% of them do not trust in it. The paperless office is becoming a reality for 61%, and only 3,5% expressed indifference to it.
